Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses


Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) is a $500 million investment designed to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunities by providing them with greater access to education, capital, and business support services. To date, more than 10,000 business owners have graduated from the program across all 50 states in the US, Puerto Rico, and Washington, D.C.

Sinclair Workforce Development was chosen to deliver 10,000 Small Businesses in Southwest Ohio because of our commitment toward advancing personal, organizational and economic growth through learning and development programs. 


Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is designed for business owners who have a business poised for growth. We look for applicants who are passionate about growing their business, creating jobs in their communities and who generally meet these criteria:

  • Owner or co-owner of a business
  • Business in operation for at least two years
  • Business revenues over $75,000 in the most recent fiscal year
  • Business with a minimum of two employees (including the owner)

Application Process

Step 1: Application

The Application is designed to help us understand you, your business, and why you are interested in the 10,000 Small Businesses program at Sinclair College. Once your application is submitted, you will receive an email confirming its receipt and additional follow-up to denote the class (cohort) for which you are being considered. All candidates will be notified regarding their application status, and whether they will advance as a finalist to the interview round. NOTE: Your first visit will require you to create an account.

Step 2: Interview Addendum

If you are invited for an interview, you will be asked to complete the 10,000 Small Businesses Interview Addendum, which includes additional questions along with a request for the submission of supporting documentation.

Curriculum and Schedule

The curriculum, designed by Babson College and facilitated by Sinclair College staff, focuses on practical business skills that can immediately be applied to business owners, including negotiation, marketing, and employee management.

Participants receive scholarships for a 14 session training program on how to grow their business, as well as one-on-one business advising and the the opportunity to learn from other like-minded business owners.
